Family Literacy Day

Today is Family Literacy Day.  We hope that you will take some time and explore some literacy activities at home.  The kids in KA have a special yellow slip of paper in their mailbags that we started at school and can be worked on at home.  Please return the slip of paper by Wednesday to be eligible for a draw.

Winter is Finally Here!

We were all excited to have our first full week with snow.  We spent some time learning about activities that we can do outside in the winter and then slowed ourselves and used the outdoors for our mindfulness activities.  We had an amazing learning week!

Please note that I am now sending home letter or word rings in the mailbags that could be used at home for extra practice.  Please ensure that the ring accompanies the reading folder as they are used daily at school as well.

Welcome to 2020: A Year of New Possibilities

It was a great first week of 2020.  The children all seem happy to be back at school and settling back into our routines.  We began our week with a New Year's Celebration.  As the new year begins, I find that it is a great time to reflect and celebrate all the growth and personal milestones that the children have reached since the fall and to set new goals as direction for our journey.

Here is a picture of our celebration!  Looking forward to all of the learning and adventures that KA will have in 2020.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please feel free to contact me at the school.
