We have a couple of special days this week:
Pancake Day on Tuesday February 25, 2020. We will be making pancakes in class and enjoying them together. This activity will allow us time to learn about measurement as well as practice our table manners. Please let me know in the planner, if you do not wish for your child to eat pancakes.
Fairy Tale Day & Dairy Educator on Thursday February 27, 2020. I am encouraging the students to dress up as their favourite fairy tale character. Please go over the story of your child's character, so they may share it at school. Please ensure all costumes are labelled with names.
We will spend roughly 30 mins with the Dairy Educator, learning about where milk comes from.

Special Days in KA
Last week, we celebrated two very special days in KA. The first day was 100's Day where we spent the day celebrating all of our growth since we started our learning journey 100 short days ago. The second day was Valentine's Day in which we celebrated the friendships that we have made this year. Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute with snacks to make our days even more special. We decided that our kindness should not be limited to one day but that we should celebrate a whole week of kindness throughout the upcoming week. Here are a couple of collages of our days together.

I hope you had a wonderful family day with those that you love and look forward to our learning adventure this week.

Sunny with a Chance of Shadows
The weather last week was conducive to many opportunities for outdoor learning. During our time outdoors, we learned about shadows and worked collaboratively to create 2-D shapes with our bodies in the snow. Here is a collage of our shadow inquiry:
Looking ahead to this week, we will have our 100's Day Celebration on Wednesday February 12 and our Valentine's Day Celebration on February 14. Please remember to wear pink or red on Friday.
