Mystery Reader Clues
Mystery Reader #5
Literacy and Math Behaviours
We have so much to celebrate this year; accomplishments and an attitude of perseverance. Make a list of things that you think should be present at every celebration. Think back to when we created the holiday train, there were 5 things every celebration had: people, food, dancing, games, and symbols.
Make a list of 5 things you are proud that you have been able to do in Kindergarten.
Please pick one of these literacy options that best suits your child's ability and/or interest:
Complete the back yard Alphabet Hunt. Find something that begins with each letter while exploring your back yard or nature. You can also take pictures and put them into pic collage as a way to communicate your work.
Design a sign for your year end celebration. Be sure to make your pictures and words "Big, Bright, and Beautiful".
Please pick one of these numeracy options that best suits your child's ability and/or interest:
Pete the Cat- The Missing Cupcakes
Bake cupcakes or a treat with your family to share at your end of the celebration.
Belonging and Contributing
Write positive messages on sticky notes and put them in balloons. Give the balloon to someone you care about to pop and read your inspirational message.
Create your own back yard bowling game with pop bottles or other plastic bottles that you can fill with water. Use any ball you have at home to roll and knock over the pins. If you want to get technical, you can keep score using your sidewalk chalk.
Mystery Creature
If you find a creature while playing outside or exploring, please make a video with three clues. Be sure to reveal your creature at the end of the video. Send it to Mrs. Bennett-Jervis.
